Local runners showed up at the CGA

Different running clubs in Kwatsaduza were among those who participated in the Cross Country Athletics race over the weekend.

Langaville – Runners in the central Gauteng region participated in the Central Gauteng Athletics cross-country event hosted at Sam Ntuli Stadium in Thokoza on Saturday.
Athletes from Born to Run Running Club faired as follows:
The event saw 500 athletes trying to crush previous records. Different running clubs in Kwatsaduza were among those who participated in the race.
Malan Musha from Bayoyo AC finished fifth with a time of 06:05 in the boys u-8 category, in the 1km run
Bayoyo AC’s Simphiwe Radebe finished third at 09:22 in the junior women’s 2km run.
Luthando Gama from Bayoyo AC finished fifth with a time of 05:59 in the girls u-8 category,
Born to Run runners in the boys u-10 category, Zac Manson and Katlego Tsoaeli, finished in eighth and ninth position respectively.

Nonhlanhla Ncube finished second in the girl’s category.
Azenah Silinda finished in 17th position in the female u-13 category 3km run with a time of 23:24.
King Silonda was eighth in the boys’ u-11 category with a finishing time of 15:33.
In the boys u-11 category, Daniel Manson finished in 18th position with a time of 18:06 while Khanyisile Ndaba finished tenth with a time of 16:05.
In the girls’ u-12 category in the 4km category, Sanele Ngobese finished in the 10th position with a finishing time of 14:59.
Katlego Mndau finished in 11th position with a time of 15:45. Nokubonga Mapengo finished in 12th position at 16:07. Thandeka Mokubong finished in 13th position with a time of 17:09. Lindokuhle Mokubong finished in 13th position with a time of 20:34.
In the girls’ u-12 category in the 4k run Senzile Dakamnyama finished first with a time of 16:56.
In the u-14 boys category in the 4km run Wandile Mashigo finished in the ninth position with a finishing time of 16:46 while Paulos Mnouni finished 12th at 19:03.
Paulos Mnouni finished 12th in the men’s u-14 category in he 4km run with a recorded time of 19:31. In the sub veteran women 4km run Ruth Manson finished second with a finishing time of 19:15.
In the sub veteran 8km run, Michael Mashiane obtained the third position with a finishing time of 27:33.
In the senior men’s 10km run, Moeletsi Moletsane finished at 34:05 time in position four.

Duduza
In the u-14 boys category 4km run, Sibusiso Molefe from Duduza finished in the fifth position with a time of 15:40.
Aaron Sithole finished in 10th position in the boys u-17 category with a time of 8:57.
In the veteran men 45-49 category, Thabo Tsotetsi finished in the sixth position with a time of 42:54.
Tsakane AC
Sechaba Qhoaisa obtained first place in the veteran men 45-49 category in the 8km run with a 30:47 finishing time.
In the men u-23 category 4km run, Mpho Diako finished in 12:43 and occupied the third position.
In the 8km run, Zoyise Radebe finished 10th with a time of 28:20.
The next challenge is to be held at Dobsonville Communal Hall on May 21 and applications are said to be open from May 11 to 17.
