Robbers shoot man, ransack his home

The victim was shot in the shoulder during the robbery.

Duduza – Police are investigating a case of robbery after three armed men forced their way inside a house in Duduza on Sunday night.
The victim received a call from a man known to him asking about his whereabouts. He told the caller he was at home and hung up the call.
Duduza police spokesperson Sergeant Harry Manaka said a few minutes later the victim heard a sound at the door.

“Three men managed to break in, one of whom was armed with a firearm and the other with a knife.
“The trio demanded money. The victim gave them R3 500 and they continued demanding more.
“He told them he doesn’t have more money and the gunman shot him in the shoulder.
“The robbers ransacked the house and took six pairs of sneakers, seven cellphones and a sound system to the value of R46 057,” he explained.
