Kwa-Thema – Valencia FC played four games over the weekend, three on Saturday and one on Sunday.
Valencia lost all the games.
Saturday:
The U11s played in the top four of the Springs Local Football Association and lost 1-0 against XI experience.
Valencia remains in fourth position.
The U13s are still in third position of the league and might not qualify to play in the top four as only the first two teams qualify.
They lost 1-0 to the Springs Homesweepers.
The U15s, also playing in the top four, have lost two games already taking away all the chances of them winning the league.
Should they win their next game they will be in third position.
The U15s lost 3-1 against Jealous Down.
Sunday:
The Super team lost with an own goal against the Mighty Falcon. According to coach Kaizer Mntoyintoni, the
Super team was six players short before the game and had to take the players from the U15 team.
“I think what led to our poor performance is time.
“It is exam time therefore our players no longer practice as they always do.
“During our senior team’s performance we played very well even though the goal was an own goal we, however, failed to convert our chances to goals,” said Mtoyintoni.
The Super team remains in first place and is ahead by two points.
