He received a hefty sentence by the Nigel Magistrate's Court.

Duduza – Lucky Khasambe was sentenced to seven years of direct imprisonment by the Nigel Magistrate’s Court recently.

The 28-year-old was charged with business burglary.

Duduza police spokesperson Sergeant Harry Manaka said Khasambe was found guilty of theft from several businesses including liquor outlets in the area.

Manaka added that the successful conviction was due to the hard work of detective Sergeant Lawrence Radebe.

Duduza SAPS station commander Lieutenant Colonel Sarah Mofokeng applauded the good work of the members involved in the case.

She believes that the conviction will send a strong message to other criminals and bring down burglary and other property crimes.
