Tsakani – Two men, aged 40 and 42, were arrested during a SAPS patrol on Tlokwa Street on Sunday afternoon.
They were found in possession of unlicensed firearms.
Tsakani police spokesperson, Sergeant Lerato Mngomemzulu, said the firearms’ serial numbers had been filed off.
“The arrest came as the police were responding to a tip-off about a group of criminals allegedly involved in most of the hijackings, burglaries and robberies around the areas nearby Tsakane (Kwatsaduza).
“The suspects will appear in the Tsakane Magistrate’s Court soon,” she added.
