Kwatsaduza – Springs Local Football Association had a special elective congress on January 28. The leadership elected will serve a three-year term which will end in 2026.
“Generally the conference went well and the committee has the balance of experience and youth with a lot of expertise in various departments,” said an elected additional member, Mandla Mabena.
The following people were elected:

• Chairperson: Joseph Mkhonza
• First deputy chairperson: Bongani Nonkelela
• Second deputy chairperson (woman): Charity Zulu
• Treasurer: Bongani Nkosi
• Admin officer: Prince Rammego

• Vusi Zulu – Youth Development
• Tshepo Booe – Technical Development
• Tebogo Mdhuli – Registration and Competition
• Mzwakhe Zwane – Security and Facility
• Mandla Mabena – FinCom and Legal Compliance
• Naledi Moagi – Women’s Football
• Lazarus Malatji – Referees Commission.

“As a new leadership, we want to re-establish ourselves, have functional committees and be a functional association.
“For the past few years, our association wasn’t stable therefore we are committing to creating stability,” said Mabena.
Mabena said on the football side they want to see more teams playing in the SAB and ABC Motsepe Leagues.
“We need to regain our glory as we were known as the strongest LFA in Ekurhuleni.
“We have to be supportive of our teams while being competitive with other associations,” concluded Mabena.
