Civic organisation celebrates 31st birthday

Sanco wants to tackle residents’ issues.

Kwa-Thema – Sanco Ekurhuleni held a Regional General Council, a 31st birthday and Human Rights Day celebration at Muzomsha Primary School on Tuesday.

The programme started with a zonal visibility drive when the Selope Thema zonal leadership and the Branch Executive Committees walked from Muzomsha, and went around Nqwadi Street and back to the school via Marule Street.

Zonal secretary Sipho Ndlovu said, “We are preparing for our regional conference. We need a way forward on what we will discuss at the conference.”

Ndlovu said they hope to revive Sanco in the region and make it known to the people.

“We have to come back and tackle the issues of our people as a civic organisation. Residents need to know us, and the only way for them to be able to is if we assist them with the issues they face in the community,” Ndlovu concluded.
