Eatery wants to donate sanitary pads to schools
Sanitary pads and toiletries are all that is needed to participate in the fun walk.
Kwa-Thema – Skhulu’s Kitchen will host a 5km fun walk on 86 Moidi Street, Nyanyadu, Kwa-Thema, on April 27.
The aim is to collect sanitary pads and toiletries for the three schools around Nyanyadu. It will be the first time the kitchen hosted a fun walk.
One of the organisers, Lungile Jele, said Skhulu’s Kitchen had received a lot of support from the learners in the three schools, so they saw it fit to have the walk to collect the items they will donate to the schools.
“We are hoping to collect as many sanitary pads and toiletries as we can to make our donation to the schools even bigger,” Jele said.
The walk will start at Skhulu’s Kitchen and have two stops before finishing at the kitchen again.
The participants will be given coloured powders before the walk and water bottles during it. Registration will start at 07:15 and the walk at 08:00.
