A game of tries and conversions at Kwa-Thema Sports Complex

Tsakane Rugby wins on their home ground.

Kwatsaduza – It was a thrilling Saturday at the Kwa-Thema Sports Complex when Tsakane Rugby Club took on Katlehong Rugby Club.

The game was exciting and intense because the 30 players on the field kept knocking each other for the tries and conversions they hoped to score.

Tsakane started well when they scored the first two tries of the match and ended up winning the game 45-27.

Coach Thokozani Mdluli said, “The game was hard, but we did all we could to win it.”

Mdluli said they are trying to grow the sport in black communities and are looking for players around Kwatsaduza to join them. Practices are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the sports complex at 15:00.

Tsakane played their fourth game in the Valke Kestrel League, and it was their first win since the league started.

Katlehong coach Bongani Mavimbela said despite some hiccups between the two teams before and during the game when Katlehong didn’t have substitute players, it was a good game, and he feels they played well and did all they could.
