Moagi hopes to go to Cape Town for SAMA Championships
Winning in Cape Town will land Moagi in New Zealand.
Kwa-Thema – Moeketsi ‘Sparks’ Moagi is a master’s athlete seeking donations for accommodation and transport for a Cape Town trip he has qualified for.
Moagi has been running in different competitions this year, with the recent ones being the Central Gauteng and the Gauteng North Masters Athletics Championships, in Germiston and Pretoria respectively where he came out tops on both in men’s 3 000m run for 50 year+ athletes.
Moagi will be participating in the South African Masters’ Athletics Championships (SAMA champs) on May 4-6 at the Green Point Stadium in Cape Town.

“I currently need funding to travel and also stay in Cape Town,” Moagi said.
He hopes to win so he may qualify to represent South Africa in the World Masters Athletics Championships, in New Zealand next year.
“I had the privilege to represent South Africa in Australia and England before, where I came second in both times.
“I am hoping that I will win the number one title this time around,” he said.
Moagi said winning the world championships would change his life financially.
