Athlete requests help to get to the USA

Tinashe needs funds for a service fee, VISA and a plane ticket.

Kwa-Thema – Waterfall Athletics Club athlete Tinashe Bure (22) was awarded a full scholarship by Monroe College in New York in the USA.

The scholarship will pay for tuition, housing, meals, books and supplies. He got the scholarship as a runner after he had applied earlier this year.

The scholarship will be for four years if he copes and manages to pass and will only be for a year if he fails to cope.

Bure is requesting assistance in getting funds for a service fee, VISA and plane ticket. He needs to be in the US by August 22.

“It would help me a great deal to get help to go to the US as the scholarship will help change my life,” he said.

Those who can help may contact Bure on 063 046 8960 or Ben Mkhabela on 081 075 0599.
