4 arrested for various crimes in Kwatsaduza

Officers received information about suspects sought for arrest which they followed up on.

Kwatsaduza – Four suspects were arrested during a crime prevention operation on Thursday and Friday by members of the EMPD.

EMPD spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Kelebogile Thepa said the officers received information about suspects sought for arrest, which they followed up on.

“The first suspect, aged 35, was wanted for murder and was located at Violia Street Ext 2, in Geluksdal.

“A 23-year-old suspect sought for assault (GBH) was found at More Street in the Kwa-Thema area.

“The third suspect, aged 40, sought for assault (GBH) was cornered at Maphanya Street in the Kwa-Thema area.”

Another suspect, aged 30, was arrested for robbery along Mapheleba Street in the in Kwa-Thema area.

All four are expected to appear before court soon.
