Refiloe Mosifane is part of the South African squad

The World Para Athletics Championships will be set as the qualifiers for the 2024 Paralympics.

Kwa-Thema – The South African squad taking part in the World Para Athletics Championships 2023 left for France on Monday morning.

Among them is Kwa-Thema para-athlete Refiloe Mosifane, running in the 400m. The championships will be in Paris from July 8 to 17.

The winners will qualify for the 2024 Paralympic Games, which will also be in Paris from August 28 to September 8.

Mosifane, the youngest in the squad, is part of the team which comprises a great blend of experienced athletes who have excelled at various international para events.

Among them are paralympians Ndodomzi Jonathan Ntutu, Zanele Situ, Tyron Pillay, Louzanne Coetzee, Liezel Gouws, Sheryl James, Mpumelelo Mhlongo and Tokyo Paralympics gold medalist in para-cycling Pieter du Preez.

Kwa-Thema Disability Club coach Aubrey Mathibela said he is proud of Mosifane and that he should continue working hard. He also wished him victory.
