“All that is left is for the players to execute what we worked on,” he said.

The coach said they were honoured and privileged to be selected.

“This shows that the hard work we put in during practice is recognised,” he said.

Over the weekend, the players competed in the Engen tournament and placed fifth. The tournament saw 15 women’s teams fight for the title. They played six games, won three, played to a draw in one and lost two.

They were crowned fair players of the tournament for always arriving on time, receiving no red or yellow cards, and being disciplined throughout the event.
