Football teams encouraged to enter tournament
A top 16 soccer tourney for Women's Month.
Tsakani – Ward 85 Clr Moses Sibiya, with TSM events, will host a soccer tournament from August 9 to 19 at Malandela Ground in Tsakani.
This is in line with Women’s Month celebrations.
Sibiya said sports have been used to unite people, entertain and create opportunities for people throughout the country who would not have had these opportunities otherwise.
“This tournament will be an annual soccer Super 16 Tournament,” he said.
According to Sibiya, the purpose is to encourage community members to donate items at the Tsakane Old Age Home, which is situated in Ward 85.
“We aim to attract 15 sponsors as the tournament will be held twice a year,” Sibiya concluded.
Teams are encouraged to enter the tournament.
