Soccer to celebrate women

Three top teams to compete in celebration of women's day

Kwa-Thema – In celebration of Women’s Day, XI Experience will host talks at the Kwa-Thema Stadium on August 9 at 09:00.

The talks will be done by different women’s organisations and will be followed by a soccer festival at 11:00.

XI Experience technical director and senior team coach Madoda ‘Perrygreen’ Mgezana said, “We are inviting women to come and listen to motivational talks.”

He said men are welcome as they will get an understanding of how badly abuse affects women.

The festival will be between three top teams that will play two games each on the day.

The teams are the Multichoice Diski Challenge – Orlando Pirates, Malahleni FC and the hosts’ XI Experience who are playing in the SAB League.

“All teams will receive equal prizes after playing as these are friendly pre-season games. We are doing this for our teams’ exposure,” Mgezana said.
