Kwa-Thema hostel hosts netball games
“We aim to do our best to keep them safe by giving them something they can look forward to every weekend.”
Kwa-Thema – Kwa-Thema was the place to be on Saturday when their netball teams hosted neighbouring teams for friendly netball sessions.
The games in Kwatsaduza rotated to play in other areas.
The ward committee member representing sports, Ellias Ngcobo, said they did this to help keep children safe and active.
“We aim to do our best to keep them safe by giving them something they can look forward to every weekend. We hope this keeps them away from drugs, alcohol, teenage pregnancies and anything that could disturb them,” he said.
Ngcobo said the community still struggled with proper sports facilities, and they hoped to find sponsors.
He asked for assistance from the community of Ward 74.

- Mzumbe beat Hostel (U11)
- Hostel beat Phomolo (U11)
- Phomolo beat Hostel (U15)
