Ace Auto Ayoba’s players in hot water after being found playing for other teams
The players were suspended after officials in another team removed them as defaulters.
Kwa-Thema – Two of Ace Auto Ayoba Academy’s U15 players found themselves in hot water after the club found them playing for other teams on Saturday.
As a result, the two were suspended from the club, effective immediately, and await a disciplinary hearing.
Speaking to African Reporter, Ace Auto Ayoba Academy’s managing director Innocent Mayoyo said he was disappointed in the players’ behaviour.
“It is gross misconduct for players to violate club rules. Ayoba follows a structured policy that prioritises the club, parents and players.
“We have rules that all the players know and signed to abide by, but they chose to do as they pleased. For that, they have to face the disciplinary committee in no later than 14 days,” he added.

Mayoyo said unless granted permission by the club, registered players were not allowed to train or participate in other team activities.
According to the soccer legend, absconding, stealing, smoking, insulting, unsporting behaviour, and participation in other clubs’ activities were among the things that could get players suspended.
“We can only punish our club members because they know the rules even though other clubs are fully aware that poaching players is an act of misconduct. Football demands players and clubs be in good standing as per rules,” he added.
During their suspension, the boys will not be allowed to participate in the club’s activities.
