Tsakani – Nondumiso Khoza from Mandlethu Primary School was crowned Maths Olympiad champion for the second consecutive year.
The Grade Five learner performed outstandingly in the competition held in Springs on September 6.
The provincial awards ceremony was in Pretoria North at Laerskool Haakdoorn.
That is where she was awarded electronic gadgets, certificates, medals and a trophy for being the Gauteng Maths Olympiad champ in Grade Five.
Lwandle Makwakwa from the school received a medal and certificate for coming fifth in Grade Six in the whole of Gauteng.
Acting principal Thembeni Mdluli said she was proud of the girls.
