Tsakani runners shine at nation competition

Pule Tjaoana was crowned with a bronze medal for finishing third in the eight kilometer race in the men 40+ age category.

Tsakani – Two Tsakani seasoned local runners flew the flag during the ASA Cross-Country Championships in Gqeberha, held at Nelson Mandela University sports grounds recently.

Twenty-nine races were contested throughout the full-day programme, with thousands of spectators turning out on a festive day of action at the annual national championships.

Pule Tjaoana won a bronze medal in the 8km race in the men 40+ age category. He represented Central Gauteng Athletics.

Moeletsi Moletsane finished in the ninth position in the men’s 35+ category in the 8km race.

The Central Gauteng Athletic Club won the team gold for having five runners in the top in this category.
