Local business, African Independent Brokers, is running a blood drive for residents of Springs. The blood drive will be held from 09:00 to 15:00 on March 20 at Bazil’s Guesthouse (corner Halkyn Road and Charterland Avenue).

Their goal is to collect 100 units of blood during this drive.

Basic criteria for blood donation:

• Be between 16 years – 75 years old.
• Weigh over 50kg.
• Eat something before donating.
• Be in good general health.
• Lead a safe sexual lifestyle.
• Consider your blood safe for transfusion to a patient.
