City hosts learners for Water Week
The key message to the learners was, among others, preserving water and the wetlands.
The CoE kick-started the commemoration of National Water Week by hosting Grade Six learners at the OR Tambo Cultural Precinct in Wattville on March 19.
The learners from Ekukhanyeni Primary School learnt that water is central to life and to preserve the ecosystem and the water cycle.
The key messages to the learners were, among others, preserving water and the wetlands and the correct use of the sewer system.
The learners are expected to take these messages to their communities and become activists for change in handling natural resources.
