CoE: use water sparingly

Residents must conserve and reuse water.

In the wake of water shortages and cuts, doing what you can to save water is crucial.

The CoE appeals to the community to use water sparingly.

Here are tips residents can implement to do their bit in saving water:
• Avoid washing cars with hosepipes and use buckets instead;
• Avoid watering gardens during the day and opt for the early morning or evening hours;
• Rather sweep than use a hosepipe to clean pavements;
• Turn off taps while brushing teeth;
• Take short showers and avoid filling the bathtub; and
• Reuse water as much as possible – you can reuse water from washing clothes and rinsing fruit and vegetables for other purposes.
