Calls for comments on child care centre policy

The policy aims to ensure compliance with safety and health requirements of child care centres.

The CoE urges its stakeholders to comment on the drafting of its Child Care Centre Policy between May 6 and June 6.

This policy aims to regulate and control the operations of childcare centres in Ekurhuleni through prescribed norms and standards to ensure compliance with safety and health requirements and improve the proper establishment of these centres.

The policy will also look at how to improve the application process.

An electronic copy of this draft policy is available on www.ekurhuleni.gov.za and at selected Customer Care Centres (CCC) during office hours.

Stakeholders can comment through the city’s website and at the office of the area manager: city planning, at the following CCCs during office hours: Springs: 4th Floor, F-Block, Springs Civic Centre, Cnr Plantation and Main Reef Roads, Springs.
