Pageant calls on aspiring models

The pageant will host a meet-and-greet for potential modelling contestants.

TsakaniMiss Langaville SuperModel24, a pageant focusing on young aspiring models from Kwatsaduza, will host its third annual meet-and-greet on June 8.

Pageant founder Dingaan Seleke said the meet-and-greet is to get new people to register and partake in the upcoming pageant.

“It serves as an open day for interested future models to acquire information based on the pageant, registration and entering the pageant.

“There will be a registration fee for all categories. The pageant is also open to women of all sizes from ages five to 25.

“The day aims to introduce ourselves as the pageant organisers to the public and for the contestants to meet one another to make the journey less stressful.

“The main purpose is to keep young people busy and off the streets to minimise crime among the youth. Additionally, it will help teach aspiring models the basics of modelling,” said Seleke.

Seleke added that Percy Hlatshwayo (21), Miss Top Model Ekurhuleni 2024, will be present.

“We are looking for young people interested in participating in this upcoming pageant. We are also invested in teaching them things they need to know about modelling and the modelling industry. It is also important to motivate these ladies.

“Inviting Hlatshwayo, who recently won a pageant, is motivational on its own. Hlatshwayo‘s role will be based on preparing the ladies for the upcoming pageant through her experiences. She will answer questions and give advice, where applicable, on strategies and coaching.

“Many young women want to partake in pageants but do not have the necessary information. We are creating this day to address all the concerns,” he said.
