Mandla Sibeko of the Mandla-Wethu Chronic Support Group: “This year, we want to focus on getting men on board. Men avoid getting medical check-ups and do not realise that many illnesses can be avoided or treated if caught early. We need to raise awareness about prostate cancer. We want to encourage men over 40 to get tested. We also believe men greatly influence what happens in our communities. If men stand up and take care of their health, we believe many others will do the same.”
