Rising hip-hop artist makes waves with passion, personal stories, and new music
Kamva Gxaweni has been a musician since the age of 11, with the desire to express himself creatively.

Tsakani – Kamva Gxaweni (19) is a hip-hop artist and music producer known on stage as ‘Greed Beats’.
“I became an artist through my passion for music and desire to express myself creatively. I started making music at 11, experimenting with different genres and styles. I would record myself rapping over beats I found online and share my music with friends and family.
“I started taking music more seriously when I was 15 and began to focus on developing my craft. I would spend hours in the studio, writing, recording and producing music.
“I eventually settled for hip-hop and rap as my primary genre because it allows me to tell stories, share my experiences and convey my emotions in a way that resonates with others,” said Gxaweni.
He said hip-hop and rap influenced him heavily while growing up, and Kendrick Lamar, J Cole and Chance the Rapper inspired him.

Gxaweni said his musical inspiration comes from his life experiences, observations, the world around him, his hometown, family, friends, books and movies.
“My motivation for pursuing a career in music stems from my love for the art form and my desire to positively impact people’s lives. I believe music has the power to inspire, uplift and heal, and I want to be a part of that process,” explained Gxaweni.
Gxaweni said he is working on his debut EP, which he will release later this year.
“The EP will feature a collection of songs that tell stories. I am also working on a new single titled Racks. The song reflects on my life and experiences, and I am excited to share it with the world,” he said.
Gxaweni’s vision is to become a successful and respected musician known for his thought-provoking lyrics.
