Tsakani’s Basanda Thwala hopes his gospel music will inspire and heal South Africans

A young gospel artist found his voice in church and hoped his music would inspire spiritual change across the country.

Tsakani – Gospel artist Basanda Thwala (25) of Indumiso ye Tende fame wants his ministry to reach every corner of the country.

“I discovered my musical talent in primary school. But the passion really kicked in after I finished school,” he explained.

His hit songs include Simelwe ekhaya, Ivangeli lasi khulula and Singabakho.

“My love for music comes from growing up in the church. That is where I was nurtured. Music to me is healing. No matter what is going on in my life, I know I can listen to music and get the strength to move forward.

“Music also reminds me of who I really am,” said Thwala.

He said that he hopes his music reaches the hearts of the people who need to hear it and changes them for the better.

“I believe the message in my music can help change people’s character. I want to lead people to God,” he added.
