Francina ‘Twinkie’ Sibeko (1928–2025): Kwa-Thema education pioneer and community pillar passes away at 97

Deceased: Francina ‘Twinkie’ Moipone Sibeko was born June 3, 1928, and passed away on July 23 at the age of 97.

Community: She was a family matriarch, a pillar of her community, and a committed founding member of her church.

Sibeko, a retired teacher, was among the first staff members at both Kwa-Thema Combined and Tsimong Primary schools. She taught many generations of learners until her retirement in 1995.

Family: She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral: The service will take place at Apostolic Faith Mission, at Monyane Street on Saturday at 09:00, the cortege will proceed to Vlakfontein cemetery at 11:00.
