Kwa-Thema organisation hosts inspiring Women’s Day celebration
This past Saturday, the Kutlwano Social Organisation lit a flame of hope and strength at its Women’s Day Celebration in Kwa-Thema. They gathered not just to celebrate, but to honour the resilience, power, and potential of every woman.
Kwa-Thema – The Kutlwano Social Organisation hosted a Women’s Day celebration on Saturday at Cafe 69. The event brought together women from diverse backgrounds to commemorate their achievements, struggles and contributions to society.
“We are delighted with the success of our inaugural Women’s Day celebration. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of promoting gender equality and empowering women. We look forward to continuing our work in this area and making a lasting impact in our community,” said Kutlwano’s secretary, Pule Malefane.
The event celebrated women’s achievements and highlighted the need for continued efforts to address their challenges.
The organisation said it remains committed to supporting women’s empowerment and promoting a more inclusive and equitable society.
The organisation presented a certificate of recognition and appreciation to renowned artist Siphokazi for her contribution to the development of young female artists through her music and resilience.
Keynote speakers, including Siza Mzimela, Dr Zolela Ngcwabe and Keitumetse Moutloatse, shared their experiences and insights on women’s empowerment and leadership.
Panel discussions focused on critical issues affecting women, including economic empowerment, health, social justice and fighting GBVF.
