Tsakani – EMPD Eastern Region Task Team officers and Gauteng Traffic Wardens recently arrested five men in Tsakani. The men, aged 24 to 52, were arrested as part of ongoing efforts to remove drugs from the community.

“Officers followed information from a reliable source about men selling illegal substances in the community.

“They visited multiple residences in the area and found the men with dagga, rock, CAT, crystal meth, nyaope and Mandrax, all estimated at a street value of R27 820,” said CoE spokesperson Zweli Dlamini.

The group was arrested and detained at the Tsakani Police Station, facing charges of possession of illegal substances. They will soon appear in the Tsakani Magistrate’s Court.
