Energy innovation takes off as Ekurhuleni unveils new LPG manufacturing plant

The oE celebrated the opening of a state-of-the-art LPG cylinder plant in Dunswart, Boksburg, on October 21, aimed at boosting energy capacity and creating jobs.

The CoE celebrated the opening of the Tianlong LPG cylinder manufacturing plant in Dunswart, Boksburg.

MMC for Developmental Planning and Real Estate, Nomadlozi Nkosi, joined Tianlong owner Wang Shaoyan in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the plant on October 21.

The state-of-the-art facility will produce LPG cylinders serving the entire Southern African Development Community region, significantly enhancing regional energy capacity and driving industrial growth.

Nkosi said, “This project is a perfect match for our Aerotropolis city vision: Avancing energy security, creating jobs, boosting export competitiveness and fostering inclusive growth.

“We look forward to the many opportunities it will unlock for SMMEs, local suppliers, and township communities,” said Nkosi.
