Reading becomes fun on book character day

Sibonisiwe Primary School was colourful when book characters were brought to life.

Teachers and learners at Sibonisiwe Primary School recently participated in a Character Day, dressing up as their favourite book characters. The learners had to bring a book with them or share stories about their character and what they loved about them, or what makes them unique. This is part of learning, which promotes reading and public speaking. It was the first time such an event was held at the school.
