Acts of care shine bright as Masimong Foundation supports vulnerable families

Elderly residents and child-headed homes received Christmas hampers as the Masimong Foundation extended care and hope to the community.

Kwa-Thema – A small act of care can brighten a home, uplift a family, or restore hope in a community. This spirit of generosity was felt in Kwa-Thema as the Masimong Foundation, founded by Sandi and Mike Teke, distributed Christmas hampers to selected families, extending dignity, nourishment and hope to those who need it most.

The initiative focuses on the elderly, child-headed households and families in need, many of whom are identified through schools that the foundation partners with through its Reading Challenge Programme and Tutoring Programme.

“Our elders have walked long roads, and the young still have a long journey ahead. They deserve care, dignity and support,” said Sandi, who led the outreach.

She added that the work of the Masimong Foundation is rooted in giving back and offering a helping hand where it matters most.

The foundation’s aim went beyond simply donating food parcels. It was about delivering a message of respect, gratitude and shared humanity.

Through this initiative, the Masimong Foundation hopes to light up communities with acts of care that ripple far beyond the festive season. The foundation wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.
