Young soccer players share their experiences on winning and teamwork

Sfundo Mabuza was recently honoured as the U11 young player of the tournament. He described soccer as his happy place. “Whenever I step onto the field, I feel joyful and motivated. My experiences on the pitch have strengthened my determination to one day become a professional player.”

Tsakani – U11 and U13 soccer players shared their passion for the game and the joy of teamwork at the Back-to-School Soccer Tournament, where they were recognised and awarded for their hard work and dedication on the field.
Sthembiso Sthathu was awarded the best U11 defender of the tournament. He said his dream is to play soccer professionally, meet professional players and travel the world through the sport. “I love playing soccer. Thuto Dlamini was named the U11 player of the tournament. His love for soccer drives him to give his best in every game. “Soccer is my favourite sport. It makes me happy, teaches me teamwork and pushes me to be better every day.”

Bafana Mahamba was named the U11 best goal scorer of the tournament. He said regular practice has been key to improving his skills. “I attend practice every week, and that helped me become the best goal scorer. I love scoring goals and helping my team win. This sport keeps me fit, happy and going stronger.”

Thato Nkosi was named U13 Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament.
