Tsakani – CPF chairperson Mncedisi Somyo has advised the community to stay vigilant on the road and while at home.

“Many criminals have resorted to house robberies. When you are not home or will not be home for the weekend, only inform those who are close to you, or your trusted neighbour.

“You may also inform CPF representatives so they can keep an eye on your property,” explained Somyo.

Somyo urged community members to always lock doors and windows, even when they are at home.

“Ensure outside lights and alarm systems are in working order,” he added.

Somyo encouraged residents to work together with law enforcement and community safety structures to reduce crime in the area.

He emphasised that community co-operation, awareness and proactive safety measures can help protect families and property, especially during periods when criminal activity tends to increase.
