Kwa-Thema- A 50-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of his girlfriend.
Paula Mqoma (47) died at Pholosong Hospital on Tuesday after suffering head injuries and losing function on her left side.
It is alleged the deceased was rushed to hospital by paramedics following an alleged fight between her and her boyfriend.
Kwa-Thema Police spokesperson Constable Nkululeko Magudulela said witnesses allege the couple frequently fought till the early hours of the night.

“On the night leading to Paula’s death, it is alleged the two fought and the deceased could be heard screaming for help. The suspect will appear before the Springs Magistrates Court soon,” he explained.
The deceased’s mother, Ellen Mbonani, said all she wants is justice for her daughter.
“My daughter died in a lot of pain. She couldn’t walk or speak but on Sunday during our visit to the hospital, she managed to whisper that she was assaulted by her boyfriend with a bottle.
“Had she not been able to tell us that she was assaulted by her boyfriend, we wouldn’t have known what happened to her,” she said.
On Monday night, One Strong Voice Foundation held a candlelight service at Paula’s home in Ext Two.
