The murder victim was inside the house with three others.
“He stood up to go to the kitchen, where he was smoking.
“While at the kitchen door, four men approached and forced him back into the lounge with the others,” explained Sergeant Lebohang Ramaesa of the Tsakane Social Crime Prevention and Communication unit.
At this point, all the victims were forced to lie down and one of the attackers said out loud, ‘Yhaa nguye lo’ (meaning ‘Yes, he is the one’ – referring to the deceased).
“They were robbed of five cellphones, then the man was shot twice on the right side of his face and died on the scene.
“The suspects sped off in a white Toyota Etios with an unknown registration number,” said Ramaesa.
