Kwa-Thema residents face another power outage

Since then, the power was restored in Langaville Ext 7, Kwa-Thema, Vulcania Industries and surrounding areas.

Kwa-Thema – The residents of Kwa-Thema were relieved when their power was finally restored after 23 days of being in the dark on Friday.

However, this was short-lived because Sunday’s scheduled load-shedding from 16:00 to 18:00 was implemented 30 minutes before the scheduled time.

Since then, the power was restored in Langaville Ext 7, Kwa-Thema, Vulcania Industries and surrounding areas.

The CoE said its energy department was still trying to locate the cable fault that affected the power supply to Vulcania South from the Van Eck substation.

An emergency line was connected to the Vulcania substation after the Kwa-Thema main substation burnt down on May 11.
