EFF donates necessities to learners in Langaville

Celebrating Women's Month at Langaville Primary.

Langaville – The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Ground Forces in wards 78, 79 and 81 spent part of their Wednesday morning donating sanitary pads at Langaville Primary School.

This was in commemoration of Women’s Month and also the EFF’s 10th anniversary.

Ground Force’s Bonakele Ndlela said, “Access to sanitary towels is critical because having a period without towels at school can impact the girls’ long-term social and economic activities. Lack of sanitary pads can also force girls to use unhygienic materials such as dirty cloth or newspaper.”

She said some girls end up dating older men so they can afford sanitary pads and other things they may need.

“We didn’t want to celebrate this month and our anniversary alone, we, therefore, saw it fit that we spend it with the community by donating,” she said.
