Duduza community aids police in fighting crime
Duduza police spokesperson Sergeant Harry Manaka said the arrests are a result of consistent efforts by the police and other law enforcement agencies.
Duduza – Police have waged war against crime in the area with 23 offenders arrested in a week.
The suspects were arrested for various offences including 11 for possession of drugs, four for assault, one for murder, one for rape, one for arson, three for house burglaries and theft and two for selling liquor without a licence.
Duduza police spokesperson Sergeant Harry Manaka said the arrests are a result of consistent efforts by the police and other law enforcement agencies.
“The contributing factors to the success are a result of the partnership with the community, through information, and also the awareness campaigns which encourage the reporting of crime.
“All arrested suspects are expected to appear before the Nigel Magistrate’s Court during the week,” he added.
