Mighty Falcons claim 1-0 win over Dunnottar Mighty Warriors in Springs U17 match

Mighty Falcons secured a narrow 1-0 victory against Dunnottar Mighty Warriors during a recent Springs Local Football U17 fixture at the Kwa-Thema Sports Complex.

Kwa-Thema – The recent Springs Local Football U17 game between Dunnottar Mighty Warriors and Mighty Falcons was held at the Kwa-Thema Sports Complex.

Mighty Warriors coach Master Nkosi described the game as shaky.

“When the game started in the first half, it seemed as if my players were lost. They eventually adjusted after some time,” he said.

“We substituted two players in the second half. That changed the balance of the game, although my players did come to the party when they had to tackle the ball,” added Nkosi.

Mighty Falcons coach Manqoba Mabuza was pleased with his team’s performance. He described the first half as good, saying his midfielders played exactly how he wanted them to.

“We used the 4-5-1 formation, and that helped us keep the ball on our side longer. The team created as many chances as possible but failed to convert as many as possible.

“I know we could have scored more goals because we are capable, but it just did not happen,” he mentioned.

“Over and above everything, I’m happy we won the game.”
