Speaking to African Reporter, Sanders United’s coach, Vusi ‘Terror’ Zulu said, “The boys have been giving it their all since the first game until now.”

Terror said the key to successful games is focusing solely on the team.

“Going into the league, what was important to us was to run our own race, at our own pace and forget about the other 12 teams.

“We worked on our finishing touches and set pieces,” he said.

Reflecting on the game, Abaqilazi’s coach, Thato Olifant, said that various challenges affect how his players show up on the pitch.

“Despite this loss, I hope that the boys will take this as a lesson to train harder and keep moving forward,” he said.

Olifant said exhaustion was the main reason they lost.

“This was their second game of the day and I could tell that they were exhausted,” he said.

He concluded that, going forward, his team will improve their goalkeeping and defence.
