  • Premium GXNG and Local Lifestyle will host Hectic SA’s 17th Annual Mama of All Parties: All Black Everything from 18:00 until late at Local Lifestyle, 13168 Tolashe Street, Kwa-Thema, Springs. Entry is free. For more information, contact Hectic SA on 073 647 0548.

August 1

  • Cafe 69 in Kwa-Thema will host a Wine Fair. The event promises wine tastings, food pairings, live music and networking opportunities. For more information and bookings, contact 078 474 6960.

August 8

  • Catchup Zone Pub and Restaurant will host Slenda Slenda’s Birthday Celebration at its Backyard Arena. The event starts at 17:00, with free entry before 17:00 and an entrance fee thereafter. Guest artist Thatohatsi will perform. Food and beverages will be on sale at the venue, and cooler boxes are not allowed. For more information, contact the pub on 083 208 3128.

  • Meat World Springs hosts a food market every Saturday from 06:30 to 14:00 and calls on all vendors to apply to participate. Send your name, ID number and the name and a photograph of the food product you wish to sell for consideration to marketing@meatworld.co.za or call 011 815 1494.
  • The Springs Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday. Buy fresh, affordable produce, arts and crafts, delicious food and milk. The venue is Den Akker at President’s Park. It runs from 08:00 to 13:00.
