Kwa-Thema – KBB, a registered non-profit organisation, is inviting young men between the ages of 18 and 35 to participate in its flagship Medu Sakeng programme, an initiative aimed at restoring hope, dignity and purpose.

The programme launch will take place on July 29 at 10:00 on Lucas Steyn Street, Withok (Brakpan), near Ndabezitha Bus Services.

The programme is designed for clean young men who are ready to rebuild their lives and develop practical skills that can improve their future employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.

Following an assessment and one-on-one conversation, participants will be enrolled in skills training based on their interests.

The first phase of the programme will offer training in carpentry, welding, crop production and animal production.

According to the organisation, additional skills such as building, plumbing, tiling and electrical work will be introduced as subject matter experts become available.

KBB has appealed to parents and the wider community to support the initiative, saying restoring young lives requires collective effort.

“It takes a village to raise a child. We humbly request society and parents to support this noble cause as we work together to restore hope and dignity to our young men,” said Shirley Thebe.
