When SASSA grants will be paid in August

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has confirmed the payment dates for social grants for August.

Older Person’s Grants will be paid from August 4, followed by Disability Grants on August 5 and Children’s Grants on August 6.

SASSA has also advised beneficiaries that August 7 will serve as a fourth payment day for beneficiaries whose grants have been selected for review.

According to SASSA, if a grant is not paid on the beneficiary’s usual payment date and is only paid on the fourth payment day, it may indicate that the grant has been selected for review.

Beneficiaries are urged to visit their nearest SASSA office before the 18th day of the following month with the required supporting documents, including proof of income, proof of marital status and any other relevant documentation, to complete the review process and confirm their continued eligibility for the grant.

SASSA reminded beneficiaries that there is no need to rush to collect their grants on the first payment day, as the money will remain available in their accounts until it is withdrawn.
