Local athletes compete in cross country

More than 30 members of the Kwatsaduza Athletic Club will take part in the cross country race

The U/7s will be running the 2km; 4km will be run by U/15 athletes; those who run for the U/17s will be completing in a 6km run while athletes between 20 and 25 years old will be running the 8km race and the 12km will be run by the senior athletes.

The race will be held at Delta Park in Johannesburg from May 3 until the end of August. Sparks Moagi, chairman of the club, appeals for the community’s support.

He believes that the support that they get from the community is the one ingredient that makes them strong and come back with a win.

“Knowing that there are people who support us back home, gives us more strength to keep pushing until we win,” says Sparks.
