Atchaar Boys win tournament

The Ace Auto/ Ayoba top 16 Wafa-wafa tournament games that started on April 26 saw 16 teams from Kwatsaduza, Kingsway and Voolslorus fighting for the champions’ trophy.

Ayoba-Yo Youth Soccer Academy technical director, Innocent Mayoyo says the tournament was aimed at keeping the youth active after the Easter weekend.

Nicholas Nkosi of Weekend Footballers put the first goal behind the net after 18 minutes during the first half of the game.

To determine the champions,the game proceeded to the penalties and the Atchaar Boys were crowned the winners of the tournament after beating Weekend Footballers by 7-8 penalties.

Nicholas Nkosi was crowned the top scorer of the tournament after scoring five goals during the tournament, player of the tournament trophy was taken by Sibusiso ‘Ngoqo’ Mahlangu while the winning team’s coach took home the coach of the tournament trophy.
