New kit donated to Izinyoka

Donation boosts team's confindance

Izinyoka started their Friday by responding to an invite by SS Trading & Electrical contractors for all the players to come and enjoy a braai, and each member was given a donation of a tracksuit, playing kit, sports bag and a pair of sneakers.

The club’s public relations officer Tshepo Tlagae said the gesture excited the boys and boosted their morale later in the day playing against Luso Africa in Germiston.

The first half ended goalless, in a game that would make Izinyoka SAB league log leaders if they had claimed the maximum points.

Second half began, and with the coach’s instructions still fresh in their minds, Izinyoka found a goal through Victor’Ma’vinivini’ Ralekgoko.

Their excitement was short lived, when Luso managed to equalise 15 minutes later.

Izinyoka, who had the pressure of impressing their new donors, were awarded a free kick in the dying minutes of the game.

It was Sthembiso “Matikiti” Hlope who took the responsibility, and stunned fans by putting the ball in the back of the net, ending the game 2-1.

Izinyoka are now left with five games in the league, and Tshepo says their aim is to advance to the Vodacom League. He appeals for the community’s support.

Their next game is against Movers FC at 3pm at Jim Fouche Park, in Nigel.
