Thirty-two teams’ tournament

Thirty-two teams will be playing on the winter soccer tournament organised by Ayoba-Yo-Youth Soccer Academy

Ayoba-Yo-Youth Soccer Academy in partnership with Ace Auto Scrap yard will host the 32 teams’ winter soccer tournament.

After a successful top 16 teams’ knock-out tournament at KwaThema Extension Two Legacy Ground in April, the academy is inviting local teams and regional teams to register for the 32 teams’ tournament.

Ayoba’s technical director, Innocent Mayoyo says only 32 teams will contest, with only four teams in a group.

He says the final game of the tournament is expected to take place on June 16. “All teams are advised to attend the draw to hear more about the tournament rules, fixtures and the discussions about teams concerned,” says Mayoyo.

He says the champions will go home with a cash prize of R15 000 while the team that gets the second position will be given a R7 500 cash prize and a R2 500 cash prize will be taken by the team that gets the third position.

Prizes for the junior teams champions will be a soccer kit, a trophy and gold medals and the team that gets the second position will get a soccer kit and silver medals. The tournament will start from June 1 and the finals will be played on June 16.

The draw of the teams will take place on May 25 at the KwaThema’s Extension Two Legacy Ground. For more information send an e-mail to ayobayoconsulting@yahoo.com or call coach Pakiso on 074 955 8244 or coach Mayoyo on 084 729 1483.
